Esporte Rock in Rio Brasil 2022: Iron Maiden to headline ‘Metal Day’
Esporte Thomas Curtis-Horsfall24 Aug 2021First Published 24 Aug 2021Rock in Rio are ramping up anticipation for their long-awaited Brazil edition next year by announcing a rocket-fuelled lineup for their ‘Dia Do Metal’, or Metal Day.
UK metal legends Iron Maiden will headline the fearsome first day to the festival, bringing their upcoming album Senjutsu to the new ‘City Of Rock’.
They’ll be joined on the day by Dream Theater, Megadeth, and homegrown heroes Sepultura, the latter of which will be performing with the Brazilian Symphonic Orchestra.
The historic festival looks to kick off proceedings with one hell of a bang, having already announced Justin Bieber and Demi Lovato for the very same weekend next September.
